A world premiere/FIRST LOOK performance of a play by Owen Whitelaw, directed by Matthew Lenton and performed by Sandy Grierson.

Fur if it does, the Kirk wull fall tae the de’il, and the hooses turn tae dust.” 

After fifty years of hiding in his local pub, a man emerges to face a village changed. 
A landscape where the old walls have fallen, where new ones have been built. 
And where a strange horse stalks the crowded streets.

In The Winter Came The Foal is a fairy-tale and modern myth examining the death of community and the enduring need for belief / stripped down performance laying the foundations for a larger-scale future production.

Why We Programmed In The Winter Came The Foal

It’s a new play in which the writing conjures a vivid visual world, so it seems like a perfect match between Owen as a writer and Vanishing Point.
